A Tale of Love And Dedication

Beginning of a Legacy

The story of the Scavia family is a fascinating tale of resilience, love, and dedication that spans several generations and challenges. In 1911, Domenico Scavia, a skilled goldsmith, moved from Valenza to Milan with his wife Maria. They opened their jewelry factory in a building on Corso XXII Marzo, which was still under construction. In 1912, their son Bruno was born, followed by Sara in 1916. Despite Domenico not being a businessman or a trader, he proved to be a master in his craft and managed a factory with up to 30 artisans.

In 1923, Maria opened her jewelry store just a few meters from Domenico's factory, still on Corso XXII Marzo. The family thrived until the outbreak of World War II, during which illness and, ultimately, the passing of Maria and Domenico occurred.

Rising from Adversity

Rising from Adversity

The Scavia family had to face illness and the loss of Maria, as well as Domenico's paralysis. It's in these challenging times that Sara took charge of the family's destiny. Starting from 1949, the Scavia store on Corso XXII Marzo began to grow year by year. Sara, with her strength and determination, attracted customers from all over Italy and stood out as one of the few female protagonists in the Italian jewelry industry.
